It is tools that help you perform the tricks without having to much practice most of the time. Although, you still want to play with your gimmicks as much as feasible to get familiar with the device. The advantage of gimmicks is that it is a self performing tool which does not depend too much on its performer. But, gimmicks tended to be very messy and hard for you to clean up later. All well known magicians always wanted to start clean and end clean. By clean I mean that the spectators are permitted to inspect the magician or touch the performed objects. The skill to let the audience examine a performed object also preferred to as spontaneous. Once you mastered the art of spontaneous magic, you should be able to feel very buoyancy to perform at any type of audience.
